Summer Holidays
19/07/10
Where has the school year gone?
It’s that time of year when we have to say farewell to the young people in our school groups. It’s been absolutely great fun working with you all. We’ve loved your humour, and have enjoyed working with you to produce some great media pieces.
Have a great break from school. Enjoy your holidays if you’re going away. And keep in touch with us! Perhaps we’ll have the pleasure of working with some of you again next year - when we have some great plans for some new media themes.
all the best!
Jerome & Butler.

Heritage Project Animal Portrait Session
08/05/10

The Young Roots Heritage Project visited East Park’s Animal Education Centre today for a photo shoot with the centre’s collection of creepy crawlies and other exotic beasties. Check out the slideshow page to see the photographers braving the bugs - we’ll add our animal portraits very soon too.
East Park Crocus Photos
21/03/10

We’ve added some of last weekend’s photographs of the crocii flowering in East Park to the photo gallery page. We next meet in the park on Saturday 27th March - and it looks as though the daffodils will be in flower by then, hope the weather will be good!
Heritage Project 13th March
13/03/10
That was a rarity! A sunny morning in the park for The Heritage Project! The lovely early spring sunshine meant that we could really make the most of the opportunity to take some ‘cracking’ photos (sorry Lauren). The snowdrops and crocuses are in full flower and look great. We’ll be viewing all the photos we took at our next session on Tuesday evening, and will make our selection for an online album that we can show you later this week.

New Website goes Live!
06/03/10
Buzz Media’s new website goes live today! The new site features a ‘blog’ styled home page with news of our latest activities, gallery pages for photography and video produced by our participants, and other general information. We hope you like our new website and that you’ll return frequently to see what we’re up to!
You can also keep up to date with Buzz Media activities - and other random ramblings - by joining our FaceBook page, which already has well over 100 fans.

Rufus Pays a Visit
01/03/10
Rufus the Robin - Hull KR’s energetic mascot - paid us a visit at the end of February. He stayed for a while ‘chatting’ (or should that be ‘chirping’?) with young people in the school group, and generally made himself at home.

ASDAN Successes
01/02/10

Buzz Media has awarded over 100 ASDAN Short Course awards to young people since the beginning of 2009. Many of these awards have been achieved by the young people in PROBE’s Positive Youth or Youth Progressions groups, with whom Buzz Media works week by week.
It’s been great working with you all, producing animations with lego and plasticine, and photography of many kinds. You can see many of our animated films on the Video Gallery page.
We hope that 2010 proves just as rewarding for the young people we’re working with. This year we hope to add “Environment’ awards to our provision, along with our existing ‘Expressive Arts’ and ‘Activities’ awards. If you want to know more about the ASDAN Short Courses we deliver then get in touch.
