Awards & Accreditations Buzz Media is able to deliver a range of awards and accreditations, rewarding students for their media work and personal development.
The Short Course Awards are straightforward to achieve and there is minimum paperwork. In general, challenges are completed over 10, 30 or 60 hours, which corresponds to one, three or six credits. Buzz Media makes completing an ASDAN Short Course even more rewarding and enjoyable by ‘injecting’ as much media work as possible into each unit. Credits gained from successful completion of Short Courses can count towards ASDAN’s CoPE (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness). Credits can also count towards ASDAN Silver, Gold and Universities awards.
The Bronze Arts Award is a level one qualification, and has one unit – Enjoying the Arts. The award involves taking part in the arts, going to arts events, researching an arts hero or heroine and sharing your skills with others. The Silver Arts Award has two units –Arts Practice and Arts Leadership. The award involves completing an arts challenge, reviewing arts events, researching arts careers and pathways, and leading arts activities. These two awards schemes can be assessed by 'portfolio'. Students are able to concentrate upon media production rather than writing extended essays - using Buzz Media's resources, and supported by our staff. Be creative! and explore your chosen topic through digital media in partnership with Buzz Media. |
