About Buzz Media

In a nutshell, Buzz Media is all about exploring issues through the use of digital media.

Buzz Media works with young people from voluntary, not for profit, youth, community and faith groups in Hull. We encourage and support members of your group to produce photography, printed documents, videos, sound recordings, blogs and websites. Creating digital media is both fun and rewarding!

Buzz Media is managed by Jerome Whittingham, who combines his experience as a professional photographer, reprographics technician, website designer and youth worker - into a youth led social enterprise delivering digital media support and services.

Buzz Media is also an approved centre for the delivery of ASDAN Short Courses, the Arts Award and Hull City Council’s Youth Development Awards. Each of these award schemes can be used to recognise and accredit the achievements and personal development of young people who engage in Buzz Media activities. These awards show evidence of young people’s progress in ‘working together’, ‘developing personal learning’, and ‘problem solving’ - valuable to young people who want to progress into further education or employment.

Buzz Media is a member of United Youth Transforms - a partnership of youth organisations in East Hull whose aim is to work together to provide the best opportunities for young people. However, Buzz Media is pleased to work across the whole of the city, and with any age group.
